About SCHDL

Built for the people who keep the floor covered.

Every shift, someone is making sure the schedule holds together. Not because they want to spend their evening texting and calling — because there's no other way.

A tech calls out. A nurse goes home sick mid-shift. A surgical case needs an extra scrub. The manager opens the contact list, starts down the line, and waits. Some people answer. Most don't. The list narrows. The clock keeps ticking.

This is how healthcare has always run last-minute coverage — on the invisible labor of managers and charge nurses who are good enough at their jobs to make broken workflows work anyway. The ones who stay late. The ones who never got the credit.

Here's to them.

Origin

The unglamorous workflow that runs the hospital.

SCHDL was founded by operators and technologists — including a CT technologist who spent seven years inside the exact workflow this product replaces. We didn't read about this problem. We lived it.

The pattern was the same everywhere: a callout would land, and the next 60 to 90 minutes were spent on their personal phone, scrolling through contacts and crossing names off a list.

Hospitals had invested heavily in scheduling software, EHRs, and labor analytics. But none of it solved the actual moment of pain: someone is missing, the floor still needs to be covered, and the manager is the only one who can fix it.

We built SCHDL to take that moment off their plate — without changing the systems they already use, without a six-month implementation, without one more tab to keep open. Just the gap, filled.

A bolder vision for healthcare staffing.

SCHDL was built for one specific moment: the shift that just went uncovered. Not scheduling broadly. Not labor analytics. Not workforce planning. The exact moment when someone calls out and a manager is now on the phone for the next 90 minutes. We built the tool that handles that moment automatically — so the manager doesn't have to. We're building it one shift at a time.

The people who keep the floor covered deserve tools that work as hard as they do.
